CAMPAIGN PROMISE
School Safety Will Always Be Top Priority
Since joining the Clarkston School Board in August of 2023, Jaclyn's commitment has remained clear: school safety will remain as the top priority for students and staff. Since being appointed in August 2023, she has focused on many key safety improvements:
-
Approved multiple additional safety measures, including: night lock safety shades, safety film, new doors & internal locks, updated safety audits, staff training, cybersecurity measures, mental health supports, community partnerships, BeSMART Gun Storage resolution, comprehensive school threat assessment guidelines;
-
Developed partnership between CCS and the Oakland County Sheriff's Office resulting in the Handle With Care initiative;
-
Campaigning for & approving an expert in security as a full-time School Safety Director and a fourth SRO for additional elementary school coverage.
There is no end goal when it comes to school safety.
